Animal and Rangeland Science faculty have broad expertise in applied and discovery research. Rangeland Ecosystem Systems Approach: Rangeland Ecologists examine a multitude of components, interactions and controls in research to better understand proliferation and community dynamics of the invasive species Medusa Head. Companion Animal/Pre Vet Leadership: Effective leadership skills are integral to the growth and success of students. An abundance of opportunities exist for students to enhance leadership skills through clubs and various organizations within the department and the university. Livestock Production and Sustainable Ranching Responsible Stewardship: A balance between meeting demand for livestock products and ensuring the long-term sustainability of rangelands can only be achieved through consideration of ecological, economic and social factors.
